What’s Covered — And What’s Not
Covered
Accidental Damage
Random, unplanned, and unintentional damage during normal and responsible use of the equipment.
Cosmetic Damage
Minor scratches, scrapes, and non-structural impacts that occur from normal proper use.
Theft
Coverage for stolen equipment, provided you file a police report within 24 hours and the equipment was secured at the agreed job site location.
Not Covered
Improper Maintenance
Damage to engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems caused by failure to maintain them properly.
Tires, Tracks & Windows
Damage to tires, tracks, and glass/windows is excluded from coverage.
Misuse or Abuse
Using equipment in a manner or for a purpose not disclosed to us, or beyond what is considered reasonable for that equipment.
Theft Without Police Report
If a timely police report is not provided, or if the equipment was being used in a location different from what was stated in the rental agreement.
Excessive Cleaning
Costs for removal of concrete, asphalt, stucco, epoxy, paint, or similar materials from the equipment.

Your Options
Every renter must choose one of these three paths:
Purchase TPP
Added to your invoice as a line item. Simple and hassle-free.
Provide Your Insurance
Submit written proof that your policy covers rented equipment for the full replacement value.
Accept Full Responsibility
Decline TPP and agree to cover the full cost of any damage, theft, or loss during your rental.
If Something Happens
Here’s what to do if equipment is damaged, stolen, or lost:
Stop & Secure
Stop using the equipment immediately. Secure the area to prevent further damage.
Report to Tectonic
Contact us as soon as possible. Email [email protected] or use the contact form on our website.
File a Police Report (Theft Only)
For theft, file a police report within 24 hours and provide us with the report number.
Assessment Within 48 Hours
We will assess the damage and notify you of any charges within 48 hours.
Resolution
With TPP, your cost is capped at 10%. Without TPP, you’ll receive a repair/replacement invoice.
